Dominic's NY Pizza History

Getting Started

The owner of Dominic's NY Pizzeria, Marco Zelliche, learned the art of making his delicious recipes while in Naples, Italy, the heart and soul of genuine Italian cuisine. Marco moved to the United States in 1995, and made his home in Brooklyn, New York. There, Marco began working at Casa Calamari. Casa Calamari became famous in Brooklyn for its 'authentic Italian cuisine', compliments of Marco Zelliche. Marco quickly became known as "the pizza man".

Marco took his years of fine experience and opened his own restaurant, Dominics NY Pizzeria, in Cary, North Carolina. The community embraced Marco's venture, many who are New York transplants themselves. Dominics NY Pizzeria flourished.

In December of 2005, Marco took his success into the nearby capital of North Carolina, Raleigh. With a new mall enticing many residents, Marco opened his 2nd restaurant near Triangle Town Center. Located near a small pond with inviting patio seating, many locals became loyal patrons.

Marco currently still runs both restaurants, and lives nearby with his wife and daughter. Many consider Marco their friend and acquaintance, as his personality touches every dish, which captivates its audience and keeps them coming for more.
